Larry handed Safety Awards to drivers who drove safely with no preventable accidents through the year of 2008. The updated Belt Buckles were given to drivers who have not had any preventable accidents for a certain number of years.
Accident Review 2008
We had 8 preventable accidents with liability claims. As you see the accident rate (per million miles) have decreased significantly in 2008.
We did not have any D.O.T accidents in 2008!

The total cost of all accidents decreased in 2008 too.

Safe Driving is Up to You. Accidents don’t just happen they are predictable and preventable. Be fully prepared when you get behind the wheel. It helps you to arrive at your destination safely. Recognize the risks you face—and do all you can to ensure your own safety and the safety of others.
Your skills as a driver can make a big difference in safety and in the cost effectiveness.
Avoid unnecessary engine idling. The vehicle gets its worst mpg when the engine runs and the truck doesn’t move. On average an idling truck uses about 0.6 gallon of fuel per hour.

Save Money – Watch your speeds. Excessive speed is the largest single factor in reduced fuel mileage. As road speed increases, so does air resistance and rolling resistance. The power required to move the vehicle down the road increases. Above 55 mph, each 1 mph increase in vehicle speed decreases mileage by 0.1 mpg
